Lead or fade away: Why your business can not ignore Social Media
Speaker: Bodo Albrecht, Co-Founder and President of BASIQ Corp.
Social Media - the key to success to some, a source of uncertainty to others. In the digital age, few people will deny that being present on the internet is important to make and maintain connections with potential clients and existing customers. The question is: what is the right strategy to use these tools?
Research conducted by BASIQ in 2010 showed that an overwhelming number of large companies in the industry surveyed were not applying clear strategies to their online presence. The purpose of their actions remains largely unclear, and their messages do not come across. Small businesses and consultants face the same dilemma, and on a bigger scale:
· How do I set myself apart from all the other people offering similar services?
· Which tools are right for me? Twitter? Facebook? LinkedIn? Blogging?
· Do I really need to be active in social media? What are the alternatives?
· Will I be able to get enough exposure?
· How do I make myself heard in the general "noise" of information bombarding my audience every day?
This presenttion will demonstrate why social media cannot be ignored without risking severe damage to your individual business. For each and every person and business, the mix of communication tools is different. We will also show you these tools and explain methods of determining which ones are right to succeed in the future.
