Town Hall Meeting on Climate Change
Wednesday, July 22nd, 6:30 pm start

The event will begin with a presentation on the OneNYC Plan, the Mayor's initiative for New York to be a sustainable and resilient city. The presentation will be given by Nilda Mesa, the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability. The latest OneNYC builds on prior long-term sustainability plans for New York City, expanding on the critical targets established under previous plans, as well as pressing the political aims of the de Blasio administration.
After the presentation from OneNYC, there will be talks on how to reduce our carbon footprint, as well as presentations from supporters of divestment from fossil fuels, and advocates promoting more rapid shifts to renewal energy. Solarize Brooklyn CB6, an organization working to make rooftop solar more accessible and more affordable, will hold a workshop to show the steps you can take in your own home to move toward environmental sustainability.
