Our client provides a wide range of process technologies and related services to the petrochemical, petroleum refining, and oil and gas industries. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager for our Olefins Technology Business Group located in Bloomfield, NJ, who will perform the following:

Responsibilities include: • Act as manager and control all phases for basic engineering and license contracts
• Take initiative in making decisions regarding established procedures and guidelines relating to each project
• Handle the preparation of work for projects in the bidding phase and the development of the project execution plan
• Manage all letters of credit, ensures invoices are issued within established deadlines, and maintain excellent relationships with clients
• Responsible for staff management on projects being executed and all project related communications with clients
• Manage and control work scope issues, monitor progress and costs, and give input to cost report preparation
• Effectively ensure project follow-up activities are executed

Required:
The ideal candidate should have a solid knowledge of chemical engineering disciplines and working knowledge of industry specifications and standards. Basic knowledge of detailed engineering, construction, and start-up activities are necessary. The candidate must also have a good understanding of process technologies and be able to direct all phases of a project. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively are critical. Effectively planning and scheduling the work effort for a task force are important. Must be customer focused and have familiarity with typical contractual terms and conditions and with negotiation skills. B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, with 10 years of experience, is required.
